Gosha Speaks at "MLK Unity Celebration" in Phenix City

Members of The Focus Initiative had an opportunity to celebrate MLK Day 2023 at Gaines Chapel Church in Phenix City, Alabama during the First Annual MLK Day Celebration. Our Founder, Jamorrey Gosha, had the opportunity to speak during this event.
On Monday, January 16, 2023, Jamorrey Gosha, founder of The Focus Initiative, had an opportunity to speak during the “MLK Unity Celebration” at Gaines Chapel Church in Phenix City, Alabama. Hundreds of people gathered and celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with singing, spoken word, praise dancing, and more. Several members from The Focus Initiative attended this event. This celebration was developed by Cicely Dixon-Abron, Chelsea Arrington, Brandon Thornton, Rodrequous Hood, and other quintessential community leaders.

Dozens of Students and Parents ENJOYED our 2024 Student Retreat in Atlanta, Georgia.
In May 2023, The JAMentorship Program for Boys meet in person and had an awesome time! They started their time shared together with prayer and conversations about school, life, the Gospel of Christ, and even a big snake that they encountered on their journey. Afterwhich, they enjoyed a pizza lunch.
Jamorrey Gosha and The Focus Initiative is excited to welcome JaNiah Hoskins to our team this summer as our summer intern. JaNiah is an uprising senior at Smith Station High School and dual-enrolled student at The University of Alabama. We're super excited to have JaNiah join us this summer.
